During March the Leadership Ballarat and Western Region Leaders forum (LBWR) attended two programs days.
March 8th participants were provided an opportunity to deeply understand the region the live and work in. Whilst on the 22nd March the participants were provided a valuable insight into the role of local Government.

March 8: Regional Overview

The first Leaders Forum 2017 program day saw participants exploring key issues influencing the future of Ballarat and the surrounding region. We discussed broad themes like energy, transport, health, natural environment, cultural heritage, education, training and employment. Read more
March 22: Local Government

We were given the opportunity to gain a greater knowledge and understanding of the role of local government and how it functions at our first Leaders Forum evening session on March 22.
In just a few hours spent at the Ballarat Town Hall, we were addressed by both the City of Ballarat’s Director of Community Development Neville Ivey and Mayor Cr Samantha McIntosh, with follow up question and answer sessions. We also witnessed a number of important strategic decisions for the municipality being made at a council meeting. Read more
