In her role as CEO Kat has the pleasure of traversing rural and regional areas experiencing first-hand the passion and power of participants and alumni who live, work, create, collaborate and invest in their communities.
Kat brings a wealth of experience in strategic planning, organisational design, human resource management, program design and implementation. Kat possesses strong research, analytic and evaluation skills and enjoys learning new technology to encourage best practice thinking and efficiencies across organisations she works with. Her current passion is learning all there is to learn about social impact measurement.
With a passion for building resilience in her community Kat demonstrates this through her work as a volunteer board director across a number of diverse boards.
Kat holds a Masters of Business Administration and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
In her spare time Kat loves spending time with her husband Mark travelling the World and catching up with her three adult children Kyle, Janessa and Nathan
Shelley has more than 25 years’ experience working in media, marketing and communications roles across a wide variety of media. She has worked in government and private enterprise as well as television, radio and newspaper and has extensive experience in brand management, digital marketing and strategic communications.
Shelley has worked closely with Regional Leadership Australia for more than 3 years, assisting with the development and delivery of the organisation’s communications strategies.
Teagan began her employment at Cooke & Foley Business Advisors & Accountants in 2011 in the admin team, where she developed an interest in accounting, leading her to undertake an accounting degree while continuing to work fulltime. Teagan has recently completed her Bachelor of Accounting and has continued to be employed by Cooke & Foley as a graduate accountant. Cooke & Foley provide accounting and bookkeeping services to Regional Leadership.
Teagan enjoys the opportunity to be an integral part of her client’s businesses to allow them to achieve their business goals.
In her spare time, Teagan enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her dog and reading.
Neil has been involved in broadcasting and podcasting about business, music, sport and life for over 12 years. Professionally, he has worked for a number of large and small organisations, many of which have had a specific focus on regional communities. Neil has spent much of his life in and around Melbourne but has lived in Gippsland and the Wimmera and, most recently, in Geelong. He operates a small business – Untypical – which specialises in business transformation and media, with a particular focus on regional and rural businesses.
